Nail Gel Polish Will Stay On For Longer Without Flaking

The only way to have perfect nails for up to two weeks is to use gel polish. Unlike acrylics, this varnish is designed to stay on nails longer, and give a deeper color without chipping. It can be hard work trying to keep normal non-gel paints in one piece on the nail, as they can fall apart the moment they touch anything. The time between the manicure and whatever the nails were for can be stressful, as any contact with the surface of the nails could disturb the paint. Replacing these problematic varnishes with ones using a gel base will avoid all of these problems for a longer lasting coverage.

A coat of regular nail paint will last, at best, for a couple of days before necessitating a touch up. The corners of the nail that sustain the most impact will almost always disintegrate before too long. Especially with darker colors, gaps in the coat show up visibly and compromise the whole nail. Coating nails is also a time-consuming business, with each nail requiring several layers and drying time. Gel polish can take just as long to put on, but does not flake or chip, requiring less applications and longer time between re-application.

Because of the way acrylic paint is created, it sets very quickly at room temperature and soon becomes stiff enough to flake off. Once a gel polish application is complete, it will be tough and robust regardless of how it is treated. The method needed for removing gels is to soak them for a short time in acetone. This means that people who use their hands frequently in their profession or at home do not need to be concerned that they might damage their nail coat. It also means that nail color can stay on for over 2 weeks without a single flaw occurring.

There is a greater range of things that can be done with nail gel polish. The varnish is applied with a brush, and each coat is dried or \’cured\’ under the UV or LED light. Much like oil paintings, the nail artist can take time to mix and work into the colors before setting them. Acrylic paint application needs to be done quicker as there is little time allowed between this and drying. People applying gels on their hands often have better designs with more vivid colors.

While acrylics are easier to use at home and gels may necessitate getting them done professionally, it is still a cheaper alternative. This is because fewer trips to the manicurist are required once the nails are painted with gel, and there are no requirements for touching up the color. The only time limitation is that they will show re-growth, so they can be left for as long as is needed.
