Visiting New Orleans is like visiting another world. Wherever you look you see something new and different, without even mentioning unlike anything you could see at home. You have access to some superb concert venues in New Orleans that are great for singles, couples and people of any age group. Even though you only have a few bucks leftover after hitting the cafes, bars, galleries and museums, you have enough to see one of the top local bands or maybe state bands take to the stage.

House of Blues New Orleans

The House of Blues is amongst the best places in the city to catch a hot emerging band, but you may also see some top state bands passing through town. The House of Blues sits directly in the center of the French Quarter, putting you simply steps away from all of the hottest action. Different acts take the stage nearly every night of the week. The location also boasts a full service bar and bistro, making it the perfect place to ease off with an ice cold lager or one of the speciality drinks while you take in a show.

Republic New Orleans

If you're on the lookout for a little local flavour, head over to Republic New Orleans. From the vintage chandelier hanging overhead to the original outsized windows, this dance club looks about exactly like it did when it was originally used as a storage building. The location acts like a dance club one or two nights a week, but is also the base for some top local acts. It's also the home of Nolafunk, the ultimate New Orleans jazz festival. Indie pop groups, unsigned local groups and well-known groups all stop by the club on a regular basis.

One Eyed Jacks

Heading to one of the top concert venues in New Orleans gives you the chance to see some of the top live entertainment in the world. Make sure that you take a bit of time to stop by One Eyed Jacks because this intimate club causes you to feel like you are only steps away from the stage. Just don\’t be confounded if it feels like the musicians are singing directly to you. The interior of the club looks rather like an old skool theater from the 1920s and has the ambiance to go along with it. You may also take in a standard burlesque act at One Eyed Jacks.

Howlin \’ Wolf

When talking about countrywide acts, the Howlin \’ Wolf is where you need to go. This ranks as one of the best concert locations in New Orleans for both locals and visitors. The Foo Fighters, Jimmy Buffet, Bare Naked Ladies and Harry Connick Jr. are merely a few of the popular acts that took the stage in recent times. The attached restaurant makes cheese fries, a local speciality that you cannot miss. With a large stage and 2 side porches, you can kick back with a drink and watch the show from inside or enjoy the party-like atmosphere outside.
