With all the customers and attendees that Merrie Monarch Festival will have you will get a big chance to create your business network.
It was the Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce forty six years ago that started this festival. After a few years it was then continued by the private Merrie Monarch Festival Community. It is a non-profit organization that is still registered under the Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.
Merrie Monarch Festival organizations vision was to perpetuate, preserve and promote the art of hula and the Hawaiian culture and this was done by educating the local residence and tourist alike. This gave way for the people to be educated about the rich culture that Hawaii offered.
Merrie Monarch Festival gave us the tourist a chance to see and learn how rich the Hawaiian culture was. For the local residence and new generation were also able to learn and appreciate the unique harmony and balance that their ancestors have maintained with their island environment. The organization not only taught but also gave the chance for the modern art to incorporate with the traditional art.
