New Orleans is an exciting and diversified city that offers a lot travelers. Some of the high spots include the historic French Quarter, bustling Bourbon Street and naturally the succulent standard cuisine. Due to a mixing pot of cultures the town boasts one or two entrancing museums to help visitors better understand the local history, art and heritage. Here are just a few of the top museums in New Orleans

Louisiana Children\’s Museum

While much of New Orleans appeals essentially to adults there's still lots to enlighten and entertain younger kids as well. The Louisiana Children\’s Museum is among the best New Orleans museums for families and it conveniently located in the Central Business District just a short stroll from the French Quarter. Exhibits go from subjects like the human body and basic machinery to local subjects like the history of New Orleans or understanding how a port operates in coastal towns. Trip to familiarize children with the thrill of New Orleans and to learn a couple of things simultaneously.
