The city of Philadelphia is a city full of history and culture balanced with urban styling and modern art, plus the concert venues in Philadelphia showcase that balance. Whether or not you are looking for a new, modern location or a concert venue with visible ancient times, Philadelphia concert venues appeal to every individual\’s tastes.

Theatre of Living Arts (TLA)

Found in the city of Philadelphia\’s South Street district, the Theatre of Living Arts, more widely known as TLA, puts on a selection of musical acts at the local and national levels. From metal to rap to punk to R&B to classic rock to country, TLA features something for each crowd. The best feature of the venue is the angled floor that is lower towards the stage and higher towards the rear; this ensures that, regardless of where you are standing, you will have a clear view of the stage.

Electric Factory

The Electric Factory, one of the very oldest Philadelphia concert venues, is located minutes away from the Ben Franklin Bridge. With adequate standing space on the main level and a bar upstairs in the balcony, Electric Factory deals with concert visitors of any age. Almost all of Electric Factory\’s acts are rock- and pop-based, and the locale has a tendency to focus upon bigger state bands. The Electric Factory also has regular box office hours from 12pm to 6pm Monday – Saturday; you can sidestep having to pay for service charges for your tickets if you pay with cash during box office hours.

World Cafe Live

World Cafe Live, conveniently found several blocks from Interstate 76, is among the concert venues in Philadelphia that houses patrons both young and old. With an acoustic concert space upstairs for a quiet dinner concert and also a big main stage downstairs for large-scale electric shows, World Cafe Live provides an intimate setting for local bands and smaller national acts.

Wells Fargo Center

The Wells Fargo Center is Philly\’s major concert arena. It basically hosts many of Philadelphia\’s sports events, but it also houses the largest concerts in Philadelphia. Patron capacity goes from 12,000 to 17,500 depending on the stage setup; accordingly, the Wells Fargo Center books the megastar acts, without reference to music type, that can fill those spaces. Located in southeastern Philly 1 or 2 miles north of the Philadelphia International Airport, the Wells Fargo Center is easily reached by car, bus, or train and is suitable to patrons visiting from nearby states.

The Trocadero

The Trocadero, often referred to as The Troc, is a classic entertainment venue that dates back to 1870, and it\’s situated in Philadelphia\’s Chinatown district. Thru its history, The Trocadero featured vaudeville shows, musical comedies, burlesque performances, spent time as a film theater and art house theatre, and was reworked as a dance club before converting to its current concert format. With a main floor that fits up to 1200 patrons and a balcony that will fit 250 persons, The Troc hosts major state acts as well as local showcases with artists spanning all genres.
