The Story behind 20th Century Fox

It was back in 1915 when William Fox stated up the Fox Film Corporation. In 1933, a group which included Joseph Schenck, William Goetz, Daryl F. Zanuck as well as Raymond Griffith would start up the Twentieth Century Films Corporation and by 1935 the two companies would merge together to become the Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation, a company who\’s DVDs you will have rented if you\’ve ever used Netflixs DVD rental.

Clark Gable – A Short Biography

The man known as Clark Gable was born as William Clark Gable back on February 1st of 1901. Since a boy, he was known as Gabe by his friends while growing up in Cadiz, Ohio. Throughout his lifetime, he was married 5 times with his first two ending in divorce, the next two his wife died shortly afterwards and the fifth survived him.

The Oscars – How It All Began

The Academy Awards has been around since 1929 when the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science started it. This is a highly popular award ceremony and grew so quickly that they needed to subcontract the balloting to PricewaterhouseCoopers by 1935. It was in 1941 that PricewaterhouseCoopers would introduce the popular secret envelop which is still in use today.
