How To Play Darts
The game of darts has been popular for centuries. Some believe that soldiers used to cut down the length of their arrows during the medieval times and throw them at a target such as a tree for leisure. The modern day dart has a thin base, a steel pointy head, and fins which is usually made of plastic. Dart games are popularly held not only in leisure establishments but also homes as well.
Eventually, the dartboard has been created and can be found in a lot of households. It has 20 sections and numbered up to 20, with a bullseye at the center. Each number has a small scoring section, and the sections nearest to the bullseye will grant you triple points and the rest of the sections with double points. The dartboard needs to be placed in an area wherein the bullseye is at focal point at 5 feet and 8 inches from the floor. Some people have the electronic version. The darts specialized for electronic dartboards have plastic heads that stick to the board. The electronic dartboard will automatically display the score.
The player should throw the dart about 8 feet away. During a game, every player will throw 3 darts at the dartboard. Points will be rewarded only if the dart remains on the board for at least 5 seconds. Before the other player takes his turn, the previous player\’s darts must be removed from the board.
There is a wide variety of dart games. The 301 is one of the most often played games, with each person granted 301 points at the start. The points that they gain will be subtracted from the 301 and the first player who hits zero wins. It must be exactly zero, and points that will go to more than zero will added instead of subtracted to the score.
Cricket is another variety, and the people will fling the darts only at the segments from 15 to 20 and the bullseye on the dartboard.
