eBay is the largest online auction house and offers thousands of autographs for sale each day. How do we know if these autographs are genuine on eBay?

First, we need to research the seller and find out a little about them through their ?About Me? page, if they have one.

II. Check out the Sellers’s feedback score and past auctions of autographs they have sold.

3. Take a look at the seller’s current auctions and the prices of some of their items. If they are selling a Bob Dylan autograph for very cheap, its mostly likely fake.

IV. View if the seller is listing his or her items as private. In this case private auctions are most likely fake items all the time. These seller’s have something to hide and are not honest at all by being shady to list something as private.

V. An Authentic honest dealer has nothing to hide; they have great feedback and offer complete openness. Real dealers offer proof photos of the items being signed and even invest in their products by getting them authenticated by a third party authentication service such as PSA DNA.

6. You should always do research on the autograph you tend to buy. Make sure you know what it looks like and find authentic signatures to do a comparison of the one on eBay being offered.

There are many good honest dealers out their in the world. Just remember the tips I written above and I am sure you will find that special authentic piece you’re looking for.
