If the thought of being chased through the city streets by Zombies, pursued by crooked cops with a hidden agenda, or convincing a secret agent that you are not who they think you are appeals to you, Bristol\’s Igfest is the place to be.

Founded in 2008, Igfest is a weeklong festival comprised of the very latest in interactive theatrical street gaming for groups of up to 150 people, based in and around various locations within the city centre.

This year saw three games contested over the course of the festival. The long running \’2.8 hours later\’ was joined by new venture \’Cargo Remix\’ from Slingshot productions, alongside the first ever performance of \’Incitement\’ from Splash and Ripple, – the team behind the highly acclaimed Psychological thriller \’Shadows Follow\’.

If you\’re partial to a bit of Zombie action, 2.8 hours later is a game not to be missed. Contestants have to find their way to a series of clues hidden across the city and determine the location of the survivors base whilst avoiding the zombies out to turn them into the undead.

Cargo Remix is set in a world controlled by artificial intelligence where you must use your cunning and stealth to barter for fake ID, haggle with crooked cops and decipher clues in order pick up the cargo and make it to the boat safely in time to escape to freedom.

Incitement takes place in a world where the authority are all powerful and know everything about everyone, from what food you like to eat to what you want to do with your life. As part of a team you must find information about your opponents bases and gain bands in order to win the platform and bring down the establishment.

2.8 hours later ran from the Wednesday to the Saturday, performing to sell out crowds each night. Incitement and Cargo Remix joined 2.8 hours later on the Saturday for a day of gaming which transformed the centre of Bristol into a plethora of alternate realities inhabited by hundreds of willing participants.

Igfest has increased in size each year since its inception, with the popularity of interactive street gaming growing year on year as more and more people become aware of this exciting and innovative cutting edge theatrical entertainment. There really has never been a better time to get involved in this incredible revolution and experience the thrill of interactive gameplay for yourself.
