Destinations to Visit for Seattle Arts

Visitors to Seattle can explore one of many arts destinations in the city. There are lots of chances for visitors to study the uniqueness and splendor of the fine arts in Seattle during their stay. Many of the places feature beautiful paintings, scultpures and tempting displays of performance art.

Seattle Art Museum

Art from locations such as Asia, Africa and Europe are displayed throughout this Seattle arts center. The museum also features many Native American artistic endeavors. Patrons can use audio tours, wall texts and computer screens to further learn about the art pieces in the museum. The museum offers free entrance to all visitors on the first Thursday of the month. This renowned museum can be explored near Seattle\’s pretty waterfront.

Marion Oliver McCaw Hall

This performance locale serves as the home of the Seattle Opera and also showcases many other forms of live art. Visitors can attend one of the shows in this hall to see a performance of gorgeous classical music or exquisite ballet. Each December, with the help of many world-class dancers, the hall puts on one or two performances of Tchaikovsky\’s Nutcracker Suite. The venue even hosts performances of a few of the top pop music acts. The hall is situated within the Seattle Center, which is also the location of the internationally renowned Space Needle.

Seattle Asian Art Museum

Visitors who want to see some of the most precious collectibles from Asia can visit this Seattle arts center. Many ancient statues and artifacts can be found at the museum. There are also many exhibits paying homage to the ancient faiths of East Asia. Like the Seattle Art Museum, visitors to this institution can gain admission for free on the first Thursday of the month. The museum sits on top of historic Capitol Hill on the unruffled grounds of Volunteer Park.

Broadway Performance Hall

This smaller venue seats just below 300 spectators, making allowances for a rather more intimate experience with the performing arts. Visitors can come to this locale to see elaborate performances from flamenco acts, comedians and live melodramatic performers. The hall also features art films and spoken word performances. The location is found along Broadway Avenue on Capitol Hill, a well-liked area for the hipster crowd.

Photographic Center Northwest

This venue of fine arts in Seattle showcases many pieces of up to date and historical photo works. Guests can see the exhibitions of countrywide and world photographers. Visitors can even play a role in one of the seminars or courses offered to learn more about the intricacies of inventive photography. This museum is found in Seattle\’s First Hill neighborhood.
