You can make your own Halloween costume or you can purchase one. It all depends on how much time you have. There are a lot of Halloween costumes on the market today that are perfect for trick-or-treating, or Halloween parties. Even if you’re a very devoted Halloween fan, though, you probably don’t want to spend a lot of money on a costume.

Let’s start with the children. Halloween costumes made for kids are offered in a very wide range and most of the adult costumes are made smaller for children. This makes it fun for when a mom or dad want to dress up as Dr. Evil then they can dress up their child as Mini Me. These two Halloween costumes are always available and it adds your own little touch.

Of course, you can also choose a specific theme that you and your child “match” together with your Halloween costumes. You can both be Disney characters, as stated above, or you can be another famous “partner” couple such as Prince Charming and Cinderella. And of course, these efforts, too, may get you more candy.

If you are a fuddy duddy and getting dressed up in a Halloween costume is not to your liking but you still wish to find a Halloween costume for your child, you need look no further than what they like on TV today. There are plenty of Hannah Montanna or Miley Cyrus Halloween costumes as well as any of the Disney Princess’ if you have a daughter.

Sons are even easier to get Halloween costumes for. Boys are very easy to please on the Halloween costume front. Old rags and plenty of fake blood can usually make them happy. My son is more fickle than others and enjoys scaring people so those cheesy plastic suits we wore as children just will not cut it and his Halloween costumes needs even scare me sometimes. Severed heads, rags and zombie hands all became part of his Halloween costume this past season and this year he is looking to become Captain Jack Sparrow which is great since I dress as a pirate for my Renaissance Faire re-enacting.

Adults normally are not easy to please as children. I know – I am an adult most of the time and I want my Halloween costume to be elaborate. Besides dressing as a pirate on weekends for no other reason than to carry a sword I also love Star Wars. There are some wonderfully elaborate Darth Vader Halloween costumes available that make dressing like him cool again. Grim Reapers, Zombies and Ghosts are all at your disposal as possible Halloween costume choices.

If you need to go Halloween partying as part of a couple, don’t worry. There are lots of Halloween costumes available for you, and you can be sexy in just about anything. A little creativity (as well as some looking online) will give you just the ideas you need to give you the perfect Halloween costumes. Edited by Hetsil Protage
