Certifications Essential For A Job In The Software Industry
With the advent of technology, the world has transformed into a small village. Today, technology drives a major part of our society. We simply cannot imagine our lives without technology today. Most, if not all, of our modern industries are, to some extent, controlled by software. In fact, everything that makes our lives better relies on software. In the last decade, we have seen software take over the driving seat. It\’d be hard to imagine the current world without either of those.
It is a well known fact that the software industry is growing at an unprecedented pace, perhaps better than any other industry. On the whole, one can see higher paying jobs. Thus, a career in software is extremely lucrative both in monetary as well as future security terms. When people think of software related jobs, they only thing of programming. That is but one aspect, the software industry needs programmers or developers, testers, computer scientists, graphic designers and many more.
Because of the complexity and specific nature of computer, or software related jobs, you will find several certification programs available. These help you be at par with anyone else who has the knowledge of the same language. HP, for example, has an excellent tool – Quality Center – for software lifecycle management. Other computing giants such as Sun and Cisco have their own certification programs, specifically for networking. These tools aren\’t limited to these specific companies; in fact, almost everyone in the industry uses these. Hence, it would be beneficial to apply for Quality Center training.
Since version 11, HP made significant changes to Quality Center and now calls it Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) v11. Since it is a complex tool, HP offers Quality Center training and certification. Quality Center certified individuals are in high demand and are actively recruited and retained by all major software companies. However, it isn\’t exactly a cakewalk. Not everyone can (or does) qualify in the first attempt.
If you are interested in getting certified for Quality Center, you have to take it seriously and prepare hard. You may go through some mock tests; they are really helpful. Keep in mind that software is intangible, it is created through only logic. Hence, that makes working hard equally as important as working smart.
